Certificate Programs

Rutgers University offers various online certificate programs, both for credit and non-credit. These certificates are developed to enhance and deepen your skills in particular areas of study. You will learn from the same faculty who teach on campus and you will work with student service professionals who specialize in the needs of online, non-traditional students.

Visiting Students have the opportunity to take courses to complete a certificate offered by one of the departments below:

Organizational Leadership Knowledge for Life
Post-Baccalaureate Program

The Program in Organizational Leadership is an innovative and challenging program which provides both a theoretical and practical learning experience. The program promotes organizational and personal leadership excellence through the formulation of an ethically responsible understanding of organizational theory, vision, analysis, change and behavior. Students learn the keys to working with and influencing individuals and groups to achieve a common goal.

Students interested in registering for the program should complete a Visiting Student Registration Form and return back to the Organizational Leadership department for approval and processing.

Fall 2017 Course offering:

Italian for Reading Knowledge - (01:560:105:90:08616) - 3 credits.  
Course Description: Offers a 15-week curriculum that couples the fundamental and important structures of Italian grammar and syntax with vocabulary acquisition - all in the context of accessible and enjoyable readings to help you recognize and understand the written word. It is designed to build your reading comprehension and translation skills.

Italian for Reading Knowledge - (01:560:106:90:15671) - 3 credits.  
Prerequisite: 01:560:105

Course Description:  Also a 15-week curriculum, completes the survey with more advanced structures of Italian grammar and syntax, supported by expanded vocabulary. It provides exposure to readings relevant to historical and modern Italian literature and culture. It is designed to further enhance your reading comprehension and translation skills.


Certificate Program in Women's Global Health Leadership

The Department of Women's and Gender Studies has developed an innovative online Certificate Program in Women's Global Health Leadership in collaboration with the Institute for Women's Leadership (IWL) and National Nurses United (NNU), the largest nurses union in the United States. This certificate program capitalizes on the expertise of the Women's and Gender Studies faculty in the science and health studies, and the commitment of the IWL Consortium to foster women's leadership in all aspects of human endeavor, to provide a series of courses that addresses some of the most pressing issues on the global agenda. The certificate program also draws on the expertise of National Nurses United, which has been at the forefront in championing a comprehensive approach to women's health and preparing nurses in the United States to serve the health needs of women, families, and communities in all regions of the world.
